Monuments are a visual and constant reminder of the thing that they commemorate. They are stalwart, resolute, and for the most part, unhindered by the elements except for a natural aging reminding us of the passing of time that they have stood through. So also, is love. It stands strong through the things that are thrown at it, reminding us that as long as love starts with a strong foundation, it can withstand just about anything. Today we are sending congratulations to Leah & Kevin, who celebrated 3 years of marriage with this sweet anniversary session with Gabby H Photography!
from the photographer, Gabby H Photography: “Leah and Kevin arrived hand in hand to our early morning session as the welcoming sun peaked over the trees that surrounded the quiet memorial. Eager to show off her Lulu’s dress, Leah gave a happy twirl as we said our greetings. Their chemistry in front of the camera became so immediately natural, (they obviously had done this before). Celebrating 3 years together was their reason to celebrate with some updated photos together. Their happiness in each shot radiated how comfortable they are with one another after all this time. The Thomas Jefferson Memorial remained quiet and empty as we had hoped it would for this early time in the day. The golden light shined perfectly on the architecture throughout our session as Leah and Kevin made their way up the long stairs and was captured well with my film camera, Pentax 645n. The Washington Memorial can be seen photobombing into frames as I photographed them towards the Tidal Basin.”
