A Golden-Hour Vow Renewal at Regale Winery

There is something undeniably magical about celebrating a love story three decades in the making — especially beneath the sunlit hills of California wine country. Jason and Melissa’s 30th anniversary vow renewal at Regale Winery was intimate, heartfelt, and full of joy. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, they exchanged vows overlooking sweeping vineyard views glowing in golden light.

One of the most touching moments of the day came when their granddaughter, Violet, proudly walked them down the aisle. Watching three generations share this moment together made the ceremony even more meaningful — a beautiful reminder of the life Jason and Melissa have built side by side.

As the sun dipped behind the rolling hills, the celebration became a dreamlike tribute to enduring love. Every glance, every smile, every word spoken reflected the journey they’ve traveled together — and the beautiful years still ahead.

“We truly are each other’s best friend and biggest supporter in all things.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?

We met in May of 1994 through Jason’s cousin, who was a friend of mine, at the Turlock rodeo and dance. We shared a few dances that night and haven’t stopped dancing together since. We were truly meant to meet — we got engaged just two and a half months later.

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?

For our 30th anniversary renewal, our four-year-old granddaughter walked with us down the aisle. Before us, our three adult children and their partners walked out. Having our family participate in such a meaningful way made the entire ceremony even more special.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

We truly are each other’s best friend and biggest supporter in all things.

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?

Always be honest with each other. Marriage brings moments that are rough, overwhelming, and challenging — but the best way through them is to lean on one another. There will be seasons of sickness and health, just as your vows say, but through everything, the best is yet to come. With age comes wisdom, and with wisdom comes an even deeper love.
