A Dash of Motherhood

A beautiful, artistic session on black and white film capturing the beautiful motherhood of Dasha and her little. Beautiful light streamed through as these two were captured in intimate images.

from the photographer: “As Dasha was putting the finishing touches on the beautiful floral arrangements she had crafted for the photo shoot, Alma raced around the yard. It was dizzying to watch on this lazy and breezy June afternoon at their home in Manhattan Beach. We decided to do a nostalgic photoshoot all in black and white 35mm film to capture the timeless bond between mother and daughter. Umay, which Dasha’s floral business is named after, is the goddess of fertility in Turkic mythology. We wanted to capture Dasha in this same light, as a goddess of fertility…”
