Three Becomes Four

This sweet light filled session showcases a family of three becoming four with the arrival of a sweet newborn! What a precious time of life! We love the aesthetic captured here too, and the neutral outfits that really showcase the individuals. And how about that little knit outfit for baby Lainey? Precious!

“It was a pretty cloudy day in Chicago, but this family’s light filled home didn’t stop us from using all natural light with film. While creating the mood and feel for this session, mom and I worked together coming up with the esthetic. We knew we wanted to showcase the family simply hanging out and laughing with each other. I then supplied wardrobe for the entire family through my studio wardrobe. After some big renovations to their new home, they are slowing filling their space with their own personal touches and truly enjoying their new lives together as a family of 4.” – Cristina Hope Photography

“The transition to becoming a family of four has definitely had its challenging moments and sleepless nights. We knew it would be a lot of work having two under two, but watching Olive become a big sister has been one of our greatest joys as parents. She’s so sweet to Lainey and if you talk to her, the first thing she’ll tell you about is her “Mama, Dada, Baby.” As a mom, newborn photos are extremely important to me. You’ll always hear moms say, “it goes fast” because it truly does. The beginning stages of life are fleeting moments in time and I want them permanently captured, hanging on my wall. It’s so fun to look back and see how our family has grown over the years, they are memories I will treasure forever, no doubt.”
