There’s a particular kind of magic that happens when a place already woven into your family story becomes the setting for a new chapter. For Britt and Sammy, that place was Florida’s 30A – where childhood memories, a beachside proposal, and their love of Christmas came together for a December wedding in Seaside.
Britt grew up spending time at her grandparents’ home in nearby Seagrove, making this stretch of the Florida coast feel more like a second home than a destination. Years later, Sammy proposed to her on the beach during what Britt believed was going to be a branding photoshoot. So when the two began imagining their wedding, returning to Seaside felt wonderfully full circle.
They exchanged vows at The Chapel at Seaside before celebrating at Bud & Alley’s, embracing the coastal setting without designing an overtly beach-inspired wedding. Instead, their December 20th celebration leaned into an understated interpretation of Christmas – flocked greenery and garland, white tulips, peonies and ranunculus, green and grey striped linens, and touches of holiday decor that felt naturally at home among Seaside’s already festive streets.
The result was timeless and wonderfully seasonal: crisp whites, winter greens, tailored fashion, and the warmth of Christmas along the Florida coast. Britt wore a romantic Sareh Nouri gown covered in lily-of-the-valley lace, with long sleeves for the ceremony and an off-the-shoulder silhouette. Later, she changed into a strapless reception look finished with a delicate scarf.
But beyond the details, Britt and Sammy’s wedding was ultimately a celebration of place. From a relationship that began at Auburn University to a proposal on the sand and, finally, vows exchanged in a chapel just steps from the Gulf, their Seaside wedding brought together the places and seasons that had already become part of their story.

“The beach has always held a special place in our hearts, and combining it with our love for the Christmas season makes it feel truly perfect.”

Britt & Sammy’s Story
How did you meet?
Met at Auburn University! He played football and coached and I was a cheerleader 🙂 Our best friends got married so they introduced us and we went on our first date 2 years ago 🙂 been together ever since!
Tell us about the proposal.
He did a fake photoshoot with what I thought was a branding photoshoot. When we made it to the beach I saw him in the distance and ran to him. It was the sweetest most thoughtful proposal, I was so shocked and so happy!

What were you most excited about for your wedding?
We are so excited for December 20th! Sammy proposed on the beach, so it’s especially meaningful that we’ll be getting married in the seaside chapel. The beach has always held a special place in our hearts, and combining it with our love for the Christmas season makes it feel truly perfect. I grew up spending time at my grandparents’ home in Seagrove, so celebrating our wedding in a place that feels like a second home is incredibly special and sentimental to us.
Tell us about your design vision.
Lots of flocked greenery and garland, white tulips, peonies, and ranunculus. Green and grey striped linens on tables, with a splash of Christmas decor around the town.

Tell us about your wedding dress.
Sarah Nori. A Line – Lilly of the valley lace all over, long sleeves for ceremony, off the shoulder. For reception strapless dress with light scarf.
