Set across 18 acres of wildflower meadows, a lily pond, and lush Florida landscape, Hannah and Corbin’s wedding at Mill Pond Estate feels like a beautiful study in rooted romance – organic, atmospheric, and deeply connected to its surroundings.
The couple married on a December day at the Tampa-area estate, allowing its nature-first setting to become an integral part of the celebration. Rather than competing with the landscape, their design complemented it, with romantic florals, layered textures, and an open-air sailcloth tent creating a celebration that felt elevated yet wonderfully at ease.
But the heart of Hannah and Corbin’s wedding was found in the personal moments. Their story stretches back to childhood holiday parties, when Hannah’s cousins and Corbin’s family were close friends. Years later, they happened to find one another again across a crowded bar. They immediately recognized each other – and Corbin knew he had to walk over and say something or risk regretting it.
From an unsuccessful game of rock, paper, scissors to determine who would read their private vows first to a cigar bar created in memory of Hannah’s beloved grandfather, their wedding was filled with details that meant something beyond simply looking beautiful.
The result feels particularly fitting for the growing rooted romance aesthetic: a wedding where nature, sentiment, and thoughtful design exist together – and where the setting feels less like a backdrop and more like part of the story.

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
My cousins and Corbin’s family were close friends, so we would see each other at holiday parties when we were young. Years later we ran into each other at a bar and immediately recognized each other. From that night on we were inseparable.
Corbin always said the moment he saw me on the other side of the bar he knew he had to come say something or he would regret it.
Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!
On our wedding day we did rock, paper, scissors to decide on who got to read their private vows first, and it didn’t even work because we kept choosing the same thing!
Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.
We definitely faced some challenges planning a wedding that was taking place in a different state. For example, we had trouble picking a caterer for the wedding because we obviously had never heard of the companies in Tampa and had no personal recommendations to go off of. Luckily we had the most incredible wedding planner, Ashley, who gave us a list of different caterers she had used in past weddings
Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
My grandfather (Gampy) had passed away the month before Corbin proposed and it was difficult knowing he wouldn’t be there to see me get married. So I wanted to have a cigar bar in memory of him since he was very fond of a good cigar. It was an incredible edition to the wedding and all of our guests really enjoyed it. My entire family took a picture behind it and I held his photo in my hands, it’s something I’ll cherish forever.
What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?
Walking down the aisle stood out the most because we both became so emotional and it was such a beautiful and sentimental moment for us. Our family and friends mean the world to us we were so grateful we could stand in front of them and promise forever.
What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?
Corbin’s answer- I’ve learned to enjoy life’s little moments; to be present and cherish our time together.
Hannah’s answer- I’ve learned that patience is practiced and listening is at times more effective than always having an answer.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Corbin’s answer- I love how loyal and selfless Hannah is when it comes to the ones she loves.
Hannah’s answer- I love how passionate Corbin is about the things he loves. He gives 100% to everything he does and is entirely selfless when it comes to helping others.
What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?
Our favorite part about planning the wedding was seeing all the details fit into place. Making decisions together and bouncing ideas off each other made the planning process more enjoyable.
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
Never stop planning dates for one another. Always romanticize your marriage!
What is the most honest thing you can say about love?
Love brings out the best parts of yourself that you may not have even known existed. Love will always conquer fear.
