What’s your favorite family pastime together?
On sunny days we love to take walks. One of our favorite places to go is down to the river. Jasper loves throwing rocks into the water and watching as it rushes by. Sometimes we see fish jump or occasionally we’ll see an otter. It’s such a peaceful way to spend the day we’ll getting outside for some fresh air.
Any lessons you learned as a family through the last year?
Jaspers 15 months now, (11 months when the photos were taken) so really the last year for us was all about learning. Me being a first time mom everything was new to me. I had to learn how to take care of a baby but I also had to learn how to take care of myself with a baby. Something I didn’t really think about before having jasper was how I was going to change. I had to learn how to take a shower home alone, how to get cleaning and cooking done, errands. Even just something as simple as going to the bathroom was different because I had this precious little baby with me all the time. It was like learning how to live a completely different life from the one I had before. I think the biggest lesson I learned was just to be patient with myself and Jasper. He showed me so much patience when I was adjusting to being a mom so as he grows and goes through all these stages I just remind myself to be patient. We’re just learning and growing together.
