from the photography: “These images from Christine’s maternity session with her husband, Alfredo feature the beautiful Coach House and garden at the Rift Estate in Bowral as their backdrop, as well as blush flower bouquet by Floral Story Design.
We worked together to craft a collection of imagery that not only capture their excitement and anticipation for the birth of their first baby daughter but also the simple acts of love in their daily lives of enjoying each other’s company, journaling their pregnancy journey, and writing a letter to their future daughter.
I first met Christine from a young adult community at our local church a few years ago; Christine loves kids and I often see her interacting with kids and helping to mind other parents’ children. It was really exciting and beautiful to see her transition into motherhood. During our session, she shared with me a bible quote that truly resonated with her and Alfredo, “For this child I have prayed and the Lord has granted the desires of my heart ~ 1 Samuel 1:27”. I loved photographing her nurturing spirit and this precious moment that she and Alfredo have been praying for.”
What’s your favorite family pastime? We find joy in the simplest of things like watching tv together, enjoying good food, and spending time with friends. Now that our little Callie is here, her bathtimes and playtimes have easily made it to the top of the list!
Any lessons you learned as a family through the last year? 2020 may have been a tough year for a lot of people, but it has given our family some of our biggest blessings yet. It is the year we got married and had our first baby. The year has reminded us that we can always count on God’s grace and goodness in every season. Other than that, we’ve learned how to change nappies, eat with one hand (while carrying the baby on the other), and to “stay awake” while sleeping 😅
Tell us a fun or silly story that happened to your family! Having a baby comes with a lot of fun, sometimes silly moments. One time we called emergency services at five in the morning because we were worried for Callie. When the ambulance came, it turned out she was just randomly coughing. She was probably just clearing her throat 😅
What does family mean to you? Family is love. It is with whom we share ourselves, our rainy days and sunshines; Our biggest dreams and simplest joys. It is with whom the heart feels at home. 💕
