There’s something especially meaningful about a love story that begins early—one that grows, stretches, and deepens over time. For Maddy and Jacob, their wedding day was a reflection of exactly that. High school sweethearts turned lifelong partners, their celebration embraced a French garden aesthetic that felt both intimate and richly detailed.
Set against manicured hedges and swaying palms at Grandezza Country Club, the day unfolded with a sense of quiet romance and effortless beauty. Soft florals, thoughtful design, and a joyful atmosphere carried through every moment, creating a celebration that felt timeless yet full of life.
“Growing together, choosing each other, and celebrating every moment along the way.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
We’re high school sweethearts who met in gym class and went on our first date after some pretty cringy Snapchat messages—not the most romantic setting, but now it’s one of our favorite memories to laugh about.
We grew up together, dated through college, and even did long distance (which is not for the weak, as we like to joke!). Being able to grow as individuals while also growing together is something we’ll always cherish, and we truly believe it made our relationship stronger.

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
Incorporating family was incredibly important to us. I’m very sentimental, so redesigning my mom’s wedding dress into a mini for our rehearsal dinner felt like honoring something old while making it new again.
One of the most meaningful moments of all was having my grandfather marry us. I was his third granddaughter he’s officiated for, and it’s something we’ll treasure forever. There truly was no one better for the job.

What part of your wedding day was most important to you?
Honestly, it all felt important. Between the sentimental moments, spending time together, and having all our favorite people in one room, it was hard not to feel the weight of every part of the day.
But if we had to choose, the reception was everything to us. We love to celebrate—and so do our people. Booking our band early was a priority, and they completely set the tone, keeping the dance floor full all night.
One of our favorite moments was our private last dance with just the band after everyone left. It was the perfect, intimate way to end such a full, joyful day.

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?
We’ve learned the power of patience and grace. You won’t always be at your best—and neither will your partner—but choosing to show up for each other with understanding, kindness, and a team mindset makes all the difference.
It’s less about perfection and more about giving each other the space to grow and the support to keep moving forward together.

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
Have a private dinner during cocktail hour.
It was one of the best decisions we made. We were able to sit, enjoy the meal we chose, sip our signature drinks, and actually take in the moment together before the night picked up.
It also gave us the opportunity to spend more time with guests afterward—which meant so much, especially with everyone traveling to celebrate with us.
