Set along the windswept shoreline of Chatham Bars Inn, Lia and Jack’s wedding embraced everything that makes Cape Cod feel timeless. Blending relaxed seaside charm with refined New England style, the celebration captured the fleeting beauty of early October—where traces of summer still linger softly against the first hints of autumn.
Soft ocean light drifted across grassy dunes as guests gathered beneath a white pergola overlooking the water. Lush hydrangeas in rich, “burnt” shades of green and burgundy framed the ceremony, woven alongside garden roses and delicate florals tucked into organic baskets that felt naturally at home within the coastal landscape.
Inside the reception, layered textures and candlelight transformed the space into something warm, intimate, and effortlessly elegant. Striped linens, rattan chargers, and softly glowing tablescapes created a look that felt distinctly Cape Cod—classic, understated, and deeply inviting.

Design & Atmosphere
The design centered around embracing the in-between season.
Rather than leaning fully summery or overtly autumnal, the aesthetic captured that rare transitional moment unique to coastal New England. The muted hydrangea palette echoed the fading landscape outside, while woven textures and natural materials softened the overall look.
The result felt elevated without losing its ease—a wedding that honored its surroundings rather than competing with them.
A Ceremony Framed by the Coast
The ceremony itself felt almost cinematic.
With ocean views stretching beyond the dunes and florals gently framing the aisle, the setting carried a quiet intimacy despite the sweeping landscape. Every detail—from the floral baskets to the soft coastal breeze—worked together to create an atmosphere that felt organic, romantic, and unmistakably Cape Cod.
Reception Details
Inside the reception tent, the mood shifted into something warmly celebratory.
Candlelight flickered across layered tablescapes while striped linens and rattan chargers added subtle nautical texture without feeling thematic. Disco balls suspended above the dance floor introduced an unexpected playfulness, balancing the refined aesthetic with a sense of movement and joy once the evening began.
The entire space felt designed not just to be beautiful, but to encourage connection—to gather, linger, and celebrate late into the night.
