Refined & Elegant Paris Elopement Inspiration with Romantic Details

Paris Elopement Inspiration

What city comes to mind when you think about love? Why, Paris, of course! And what could be more romantic than whisking off to the City of Amour for a dazzling elopement with you love? Little else, I’d say! Today’s feature is just that — two love birds adventuring through the sweeping architecture and hallowed streets of Paris!

A word from photographers Evonne & Darren:

“The inspiration for this shoot is an intimate elopement in France. We wanted the look and feel to be something very romantic, classic yet simple and timeless. We were drawn to the soft pastel tones from the dress to the calligraphy, ribbons, ring box… with just a tiny splash of brighter pink florals in the bouquet.

We photographed the details at a spectacular 19th-century castle by the lake in Loire Valley – Chateau Allure du Lac. The Silver Room has gorgeous silk linen paneling, parquet wood floors, tall windows with dupioni silk drapings, marble fireplace mantle, and opulent furnishings.

Both of the dresses were from Gossamer. The ivory lace dress has a low v-neck, embellished straps, ribbon belt and a long train. The one-shoulder blush J. Mendel dress has a pleated built-in bodice with a draped skirt. The antique white tulle lace veil has dotted embroidery with duchesse lace edging all around.

The bespoke, one-of-a-kind engagement rings were all from Susie Saltzman. The gorgeous love notes and name tags were calligraphed by the talented Ciarra Rouwhorst of Ciarra Claire, using rose gold ink and fine art paper by Tara Spencer. The beautiful silk ribbons were from Illume Silks, paired with the lovely blush ‘Havenhart’ velvet ring box by The Mrs Box and the ivory clamshell vintage pill box by Saint Signora.

For the portrait portion of the shoot, we photographed Ophelie and Djamal in Paris. On an early Tuesday morning, we started off at the Place Colette and then headed over to the Pyramide and Musee de Louvre. It was an overcast day and it even drizzled a little when we were walking to Jardins de Tuileries. The floor was a bit wet when we got to the Trocadero area with the Eiffel Tower in the back, but the rain held up for the entire session!”
