Brittany & Coleman’s Faith-Filled Fall Wedding at Belkerke Farm – A Joyful Celebration Rooted in Family and Meaning

Brittany and Coleman’s wedding day was the kind that feels deeply personal from beginning to end—filled with intentional details, meaningful traditions, and the unmistakable warmth that comes from being surrounded by the people who know you best. Set in the Ontario countryside at Belkerke Farm, their celebration blended vibrant design with heartfelt moments rooted in faith, family, and genuine joy.

The day began beneath Brittany’s family willow tree, where the couple shared an emotional first look tucked into a place already rich with memory. Portraits followed around her childhood home, including playful moments on the swing she grew up with, before guests gathered inside the church their family attends each Sunday for a ceremony centered entirely around their faith and commitment to one another.

By evening, the celebration shifted into something vibrant and energetic at Belkerke Farm—where color-filled details, joyful dancing, and sunset portraits brought the entire day to life.

“Standing before God and committing ourselves to one another was the heart of the entire day.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?

We met on the dating app Hinge. Our first date was at a local coffee shop called Nectar.

I thought he was patient—as I was late for our very first date—handsome, and such a gentleman. He immediately captured my attention.

And from his perspective? I was “late, adorably apologetic, beautiful, and fun.”

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!

We decided to have signature drinks—mine was an espresso martini and his was a Caesar.

After the ceremony, I was so excited to finally try mine… except my very first sip ended up completely down the front of my white ballgown. Brown espresso martini everywhere.

I honestly was ready to keep going and take photos anyway, but my mom absolutely refused. She rushed me into the bathroom, worked her magic, and somehow got the dress looking perfect again. You’d never know it happened.

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.

One of the biggest challenges was simply navigating all the logistics and costs that come with planning a wedding.

Since we didn’t hire a wedding planner, so much of the responsibility fell directly on us. Thankfully, we were surrounded by incredibly supportive friends and family who stepped in wherever needed and helped make the day feel seamless.

Looking back, it really reminded us how fortunate we are to have such a strong support system around us.

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?

Family was woven into nearly every part of the day.

My sister owns both Something Borrowed Rentals and Belkerke Farm, which made the venue feel even more meaningful to us. She helped bring my vision to life through color, design, and thoughtful rental details that made the space feel completely personal.

We also had family members involved throughout the church ceremony—from readings to bringing up gifts during Mass—which made the experience feel even more emotional and sacred.

What part of your wedding day was most important to you?

Without question, the church ceremony.

As much as we loved every part of the celebration, standing before God and committing ourselves to one another was the heart of the entire day.

Being able to share the church we attend every Sunday with all of our closest friends and family—and having them pray over our marriage—was something incredibly meaningful to us.

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?

We’ve learned how strong we are as a team.

Through planning, disagreements, and everyday life, we’ve learned how to work together, navigate differing opinions, and support each other in a way that makes us both stronger.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

I love how completely himself he is. He’s silly, goofy, supportive, and always shows up for me exactly as he is. He encourages my passions and makes me feel fully accepted.

And his answer for me? Everything.
