Moving homes can be an emotional journey, especially when you have created countless memories within the walls that witnessed your children grow up. One family, on the brink of a big move from Virginia to Texas, decided to capture the essence of their beloved home before bidding it farewell. In this heartwarming photo session, these moments together are documented in a place that holds so many precious memories.
This family was preparing for a big move from Virginia to Texas – in fact, the movers were coming the next day! Feeling sentimental about their home where they raised their children for several years, they reached out to document what it felt like living there together. We created opportunities for each child to show off their rooms, offering a glimpse into their unique personalities. As we moved throughout their home, we let the kids be kids and documented their play and cuddles with mom and dad. As with many families, the kitchen is the core of their home, so we photographed them there, and on their front lawn. Having had the opportunity to photograph them several times over the years, this session felt like the perfect culmination of their time in Northern Virginia.
