Dennis & Anna’s Destin Florida Wedding

Dennis & Anna’s Destin Florida Wedding

We love Anna and Dennis’ intimate wedding by the water! From Anna’s elegant cape veil to the beautiful sunset that ended the day, the whole thing was a picture in perfection for them. Come check it out with us …

When Covid-19 took the world by surprise, many people had to scramble to change their whole wedding in order to accommodate the new reality. Luckily Anna and Dennis did not have much to worry about since they already had decided to keep their wedding intimate. Their wedding took place at the beautiful Destin Bay House, followed by a dreamy reception on the water. –  Justin DeMutiis

How did you two meet / propose?
Dennis and I have known each other since high school and have always had an interest in the other. We started dating when we were both taking the train to Chicago together during college. Dennis proposed on a night out in the city, under Christmas lights on a beautiful December night.

What was your wedding vision?
I always wanted our wedding to be small and intimate. Our quaint venue had so much character and we just adored it. We loved the beachy feel in Florida. The backdrop of the bay was absolutely stunning, and made sunset photos as well as ceremony photos gorgeous. For Dennis’ attire, we went with a Tommy Bahama suit for a laid back look. For my dress, I knew I wanted something very simple and chic. To add just a little something to my look, I went with wings instead of a traditional veil. Best decision ever!

Single most important thing to you while planning?
While planning, we decided we didn’t want to stress ourselves out! We splurged on photography, and let me tell you- it was the best decision we have ever made. Justin and Ashley were the dream team and absolutely made our day perfect.

Favorite parts of the day and any advice?
One of my favorite memories was our first look. We were both feeling so nervous and had major butterflies. Once we saw each other, we felt like our nerves had disappeared and we were beyond calm and happy. Do not let it stress you out! Planning can be so much fun when you don’t let others opinions get in your way. Make decisions together, and disagreements are not the end of the world!
