Winter Wedding in Delaware

A winter wedding in Delaware that was elegant and timeless! Madison and Ken chose to keep their design traditional with a color palette of white, green and pops of gold. Madison wore a classic gown with a fur shaw for the beginning of the day then changed into a sequined pantsuit outfit for the reception. Such great inspiration for the bride who adores going the extra mile when it comes to wedding attire!

This coastal wedding with holiday flair proves that getting married during the holidays doesn’t necessarily mean you need the classic red and green color palette! Barefoot beach bride tastefully incorporated elegant designs into this beautiful wedding at Signatures at Bayside. A day filled with love and emotion made this a prefect day for Madison and Ken. -Andreea Russo Photography How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another? Ken and Madison met on Bumble in early 2019! Madison had actually intended on canceling the date but her roommate convinced her to go as it would be rude to cancel. Madison texted her roommate during the dinner and said “i think i found my soulmate!” The rest has been history and Madison’s suspicion was right! Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning. Madison and Ken have done long distance, as Ken is in the military. Early on in their relationship, starting in June 2019, Ken moved to Texas, then Georgia and then North Carolina. There were periods of time where they could not speak and only wrote letters. They went months with out being able to see each other, which was exacerbated by the Pandemic. Through it all, their dedication to one another never wavered. Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day? Ken lost his mom in August 2008 and Madison lost her dad in October 2022, two months before their wedding. They had a memory table for each of them, a place saved at the ceremony for each of them and cocktails named after each of them (the “Suzanne’s Favorite” being a gin and tonic and the “Jimmy’s Favorite” being a mocktail consisting of sparkling water with a lime). What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you? We loved the ceremony and the speeches. We also loved all the details we had. Our favorite details being the confetti exit from the ceremony, the ice luge and the live painter. All the details made it unique! What is the most honest thing you can say about love? It’s not always rainbows and butterflies, there hard times and hard conversations to experience the best of love. We are grateful to have found a partner in each other who is willing to navigate all of it – the good and the bad. It shows how dedicated we are to one another.
