Kyle & Emma’s San Juan Capistrano Wedding

A beautiful and fun filled day for Kyle and Emma at their San Juan Capistrano wedding! A Bumble success story, their first date was 12 hours long and they said they never ran out of things to talk about and still haven’t! Their day was filled with beautiful light, family and friends and was a testament to their love together!

from the bride: “Our wedding was more stunning than we could have imagined! Even though we made decisions all throughout the planning, we felt surprised, and in awe of how beautifully our special day came together. Everything from working with our photographer to our florals completely exceeded our expectations. It’s true what they say, it does fly by, and we wish we could relive it all over again. A glorious event to begin the rest of our lives as husband and wife.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?

We met on the dating app, Bumble, and met in person just a few hours after matching. It was love at first sight. Emma was genuinely interested in getting to know me. She was open and honest, and it took me by surprise because not many people truly want to get to know you. Kyle was so handsome, and sweet, and he was also open, and honest about what he was looking for. He was open to wherever this relationship would take us, and that’s what attracted me to him. Kyle checked all of my boxes. He’s sweet, funny, handsome, tall, and just an overall wonderful human. Our first date was 12 hours long. We never ran out of things to talk about and still haven’t.

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!

Sort of funny, sort of not, but we still smile about it: 1 week before our wedding, we learned that all of our paper items (ie. seating chart, menus, place cards, etc.) were not going to be delivered in time! I cancelled the order, and got to work recreating the designs myself. I worked with our local Staples to have things printed, but they could not accommodate printing the place cards. On the day of the rehearsal dinner, Kyle and I were typing out place cards and printing them at home. We would run out of template cards, and Kyle would drive down to the store to buy a new pack. We were reviewing our guests’ menu selections on the cards right up until we had to leave for our wedding weekend. Good times!

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?

Emma’s parents’ wedding theme was based around the song ‘Stand by Me’ by Ben E. King, so at the end of our wedding reception, we had our guests make a big circle around us while we had one last dance to that song, and encouraged everyone to sing along.

What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?

It was important to us that everyone have fun celebrating with us on our special day. We wanted our guests to eat, drink, dance, and just enjoy their time. We kept this in mind while we planned everything.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

It’s impossible to pick just one favorite thing about Kyle, but I love how patient and pure hearted he is. He is so calm, and always thinks the best of people. He’s also so easy to talk to, and to be around.

My favorite thing about Emma is a tie between the laughter and joy she brings, and how caring and empathetic she is, and I think they go hand in hand.

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?

Mainly, our favorite part was just working on this big project together. It was fun seeing it all come together after all of our communication, problem solving, and the amount of time spent.

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?

It goes both ways. How good you feel receiving love from your partner builds you up and makes you feel like a superhero, but you’ve got to be willing to do that for your partner, unconditionally, every day. You think you love your partner now, just wait until you have you baby. We were 3 weeks pregnant at our wedding in October, and didn’t know it. Now, we have our little family and we are more in love now than ever!
