Vineyard Engagement Session in Golden Light: Christina & Andrew

Vineyard Engagement Session

With a lovely wander and a shared bottle of wine between the gilded vines of Chateau Ste. Michelle, Christina & Andrew celebrated their upcoming nuptials with Blue Rose Photography in tow! There were toasts made, laughs shared, and kisses stolen throughout—and once more we were given a blessed window into their life and love with this breathtaking vineyard engagement session!

A word from at Blue Rose Photography:

“Christina & Andrew met us at a local winery to do some romantic engagement photos in the vineyard. They opened a bottle of wine and just got cozy with each other, add in some beautiful golden light, great chemistry and the perfect dress and you have the recipe for some beautiful engagement photos. Sometimes keeping it simple is best.”

Love notes from Christina & Andrew:

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?

“We met while both working at the same company, TheMine.com. It took over a year for us to realize that we liked each other and then another 6 months to let our coworkers know that we were dating!”

Andrew: “On her first day, I knew I had to meet her!”

Christina: “I was a little too busy with a new job (oops!), but it didn’t take long until those team bonding events brought us together.”

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.

“Wedding planning in general is a hurdle! So many opinions that it’s hard to decide what is it we truly wanted ourselves. We have found that the best way to overcome any hurdle is to constantly communicate with one another. Our ability to be such strong communicators with each other has allowed us to have a smooth wedding planning process and make decisions easily. However, the cake flavor is still undecided.”

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?

“Christina is Catholic while Andrew is Jewish. We decided to incorporate both religions into the day with the ceremony being held in a Catholic church and the traditional glass breaking happening right after. We wanted to ensure both families felt included in the special day. Don’t be surprised if Andrew decides to bust out the chair dance as well.”

What part of your wedding day is most important to you?

Christina: “Family. Andrew’s family is from the east coast so having them in town and celebrating this day is important to both of us. It might be the only time that everyone is under the same roof and we really want to celebrate and cherish those moments. I’m excited to meet some of them that I’ve only heard childhood stories about! And maybe hear some stories that he might not want told!”

What is your favorite thing about each other?

Christina: “He’s so caring throughout the whole process. Andrew really wants to make sure it’s the day that I’ve always dreamed of and that it’s the best day to kick off an amazing life together.”

Andrew: “I love how Christina can make me laugh every single day. No matter where we are or what we are doing, she helps make the most out of every situation and everyday becomes an adventure. She has definitely taught me to never slow down!”

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?

“Don’t get stressed out on the little details. Planning your wedding is part of the experience of being together. The moment you start to get stressed, take a step back and remember how fun this experience should be. Soak in the planning, the days leading up to the wedding, and of course, the wedding itself.”
