J & C’s wedding at MacArthur Place embraced a refined garden party aesthetic with timeless charm. A neutral palette of ivory, cream, bone, and taupe provided the foundation for their design, while thoughtful details added texture and warmth. Rattan signage, fabric welcome banners, torn-edged menus, and layered linens created depth within a tonal range, while soft florals in muted hues with subtle yellow accents kept the look organic and inviting.
The couple tied the knot beneath a chuppah adorned with blooms, blending both Italian Catholic and Jewish traditions into a heartfelt ceremony. From champagne glass escort displays to pressed-flower cake details and even a vintage British phone booth guest book, every detail brought their vision to life. As the evening unfolded, J & C’s celebration struck the perfect balance between classic romance and modern sophistication.

“Infatuation can happen by accident, but love is nurtured with intention—continuously, consciously choosing one another.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
We met on the dating app “meant to be deleted” and, after some playful banter over the ideal breakfast meal, we decided to grab first-date drinks. It was love at first (second, third…) tequila shot.
Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!
Despite the perfect weather in Sonoma leading up to our big day, a brief rain shower rolled in during our outdoor dinner reception. What could have been a disaster turned into one of our favorite memories—our friends and family embraced it completely, and it made the night even more unforgettable.

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
Jamie had fabric from her grandmother’s, mother’s, and sister’s wedding dresses sewn into the lining of her gown, along with an embroidered handkerchief that belonged to her late grandfather. Since her grandmother couldn’t travel across the pond for the wedding, it meant so much to have both grandparents there with her in spirit.
What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?
The venue. MacArthur Place in Sonoma has been part of our love story from the start, whether it were weekend staycations, spa days, or brunches before wine tasting. We’d often stroll the grounds, imagining how magical it would be to get married there. When it came time to choose, there was never another contender, and we wouldn’t have changed a thing.

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?
Teamwork. We’re fiercely loyal and always prioritize having each other’s backs. That sense of partnership has been a cornerstone of our relationship—and one we know will matter even more as we soon step into parenthood.
What is your favorite thing about each other?
C: I love how complete I feel with J. As an extrovert, I’ve always thrived in the company of friends, family, or even friendly strangers. But once I met J—she became a part of me and filled a space that I didn’t know I had left to fill. Things are just better when I’m with her, and when I’m not with her, I’m counting down the moments until we’re together again. She’s truly my best friend.
J: My favorite thing about C is how self-aware and thoughtful he is. He can both read my mind and read a room. I also admire how he makes friends wherever he goes—his humor, wit, and charm make him the life of the party, always. I am happiest when by his side.

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?
Merging our design styles—and realizing how often we naturally agreed! Even when we didn’t, compromise came easily. Our vision came to life early on thanks to the beautifully detailed design deck created by our incredible wedding planner, Caitlin Gutierrez at CGE.
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
Be each other’s best friend above all else.

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?
Infatuation can happen by accident, but love is nurtured with intention—continuously, consciously choosing one another. Love means always showing up for each other, even when it’s not easy, fun, or exciting.
