Pearls, Pup, and a Party

Jacob & Cabralin had a beautiful day done their way. A signature pet cocktail, pearls, pup, and a fun party were the punctuation marks for their big celebration! Going classic is timeless.

from the photographer: “The Kehoe’s put on such a modern and classy wedding day. The bride was showered in pearls through her veil, family jewelry, and even her hair texture. She wore the most timeless strapless wedding gown which paired so well with her neutral cascading bouquet. Cabralin looked absolutely radiant all while her groom stood out with a classic navy suit. The bridesmaids looked stunning in their champagne dresses while holding onto their lush florals and greenery. The pre-ceremony held a lot of emotions. From the bride getting ready with all of her close family and friends to the first look with her father, Cabralin is so lucky to have these people in her life. Not long after the emotional first looks with her father and groom, they were joined by their sweet pup Tino for some portraits. As Cabralin made her way down the aisle, all the tears were flowing because she radiated so much beauty and class, it was such a bridal moment! Jacob had the biggest smile as soon as he saw his bride. For their reception, they had the most elegant and lighthearted details. From the champagne tower and pet signature drink to the three layered all white cake, this reception was one to remember…even seeing the DJ on the dancefloor, you just know that the party was memorable.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?

Jacob and I met in 7th grade. Our sisters played on the same soccer team. First impressions were that we were awkward middle schoolers with a 7th grade crush! We would text all the time but when we saw each other in person, we didn’t say a word!

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!

While we were 7th grade crushes, I left Jacob on read (didn’t text him back) for what ended up being 7 years…. Fast forward from 7th grade to senior year of high school, my prom date canceled on me. Jacob’s sister and my sister (who remained best friends from their soccer days) suggested I take Jacob. He actually went and got his tux that night that I asked him! Going to prom together started things off.

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.

After senior year of high school, I went to college, he went to basic training for the Army. We wrote letters throughout. When he came home at the end of my freshman year, we made things official. 4 months later he got deployed to Afghanistan for 9 months. With our relationship being so new, we had to figure it out day by day! We made it through and came out better than ever.

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?

Yes! We had photos of our parents, grandparents and great grandparents from their wedding days displayed as our examples of how marriage should be.

What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?

Saying our personal vows privately together as well as the first look. Moments when no one else was around.

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?

Patience! We are both human, we change day to day. Give grace to one another and continue to fall in love.

What is your favorite thing about each other?

No matter what we are doing, we do it together. Grocery shopping, laundry, errands to the hardware store, making dinner. We are together.

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?

Making my visions come to life! It was hard trying to envision everything at the begging, figuring out how each piece would fit together, but the day of I wouldn’t change a thing.

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?

It is hard! It’s constantly changing! Adapt to it and never give up.
