Pauline & Mathis in Lyon, an engagement session that takes you into a magical city and has your full focus on the couple in love. You’ll enjoy the story so beautifully written below by the photographer that gives you insight to the sweet tenderness shared by the couple as this wonderful season of life was documented for them.
Today I’m taking you on a loving photo shoot in Lyon city of light.
I invite you to watch Pauline and Mathis enjoy life and create wonderful memories for eternity. It looks like a romantic walk along the Rhone River. In their heads, everything seems deserted, as if the world had stopped turning.
There is tenderness, hugs and kisses in a fantastic city. Sparkling eyes rocked by the love they have for each other.
The Lyon sun shines above them. Every glance, every gesture, every kiss is loving, devotional and meaningful. I so love stories like these, that take us away from the everyday for a moment and make us dream of great emotions, endless love and romance like in the Jane Austen books. I immediately fell in love with this adorable couple and I’m sure they will take you with them in this wave of love and tenderness. -Marion Pinel Photography
How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another? We met in our drama school. It took months before we saw each other in a different light, because at first we were just classmates, feeling sympathy for each other. Our audiovisual projects gradually brought us closer together, and we discovered new common points every day.
Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship! We kept our relationship a secret for a while. We used our acting skills to hide our love from our other classmates…During class breaks we found a little hidden place to meet and kiss, we would meet before going to class to spend a little time together, before arriving at class pretending to arrive separately.
Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning. We have an age gap that was not easy for me (Pauline) to handle at first. I was thinking too much about how others looked at me, before I thought about my own feelings. I did well to trust my instincts, and to let myself go in this beautiful relationship.
What is your favorite thing about each other? Pauline: I like his calmness, he soothes me. People often say that about me, but nobody used to calm me down before him… He is reliable and trustworthy.
Mathis: I like the fact that she’s completely crazy because, since I am too, she allows me to be who I really am inside. (The funny thing is that both answers work for both of us!)
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be? Pauline: Live in the moment! Listen to your intuition…
Mat : My advice would be not to force yourself to find love around you but to let things happen, because it’s when you expect it the less that it happens
