What’s your favorite family pastime together?
We enjoy going spending quality time together. That can mean watching a movie together on the couch, going to a new restaurant, or even going on walks together at the park. We love to travel and experience new places. With our baby on the way, we are so excited to create new memories as a small family.
Any lessons you learned as a family through the last year?
What we’ve learned as a family is that we should strive to put God first. When we have God at the center of our marriage, our love will prosper. Our lives will be blessed and our children will grow up in loving and supportive environment.
Tell us a fun or silly story that happened to your family recently!
With both of us being the first to make our parents grandparents, everyone has been so excited. My mother-in-law has 4 sons. She’s always wanted a baby girl. When we revealed to them that we were having a daughter, she was overwhelmed with joy!
What does family mean to you?
Family means everything! As a family we can overcome anything in life. We are there for each other through the ups and downs in life. We always look after one another and we help each other reach new heights in our life.
What have you recently done to put family as a major focus in your life?
I have recently started investing financially into our future in order to create a life that provides freedom and more income for our family. I am taking the steps to build generational wealth for me and my family. I’m excited for what the future holds!
What are the best things you’ve learned from each other?
The best things we’ve learned from each other is that being present in the moment is important. With all the distractions going on in the world, it can be hard to connect. Being able to listen and have an honest conversation is what keeps our marriage strong. We are patient with each other. We respect each other. We show love and grace to each other.
If you had one piece of advice for other families, what would it be?
Our greatest advice to any family is to seek God and invite him into your family. He is always there for you when you need him. Also, plan for your future. Save money but also invest! Don’t settle and push each other to grow in life. Spend time together and enjoy the simple things in life.
