A timeless celebration where Southern charm met joyful energy
Set along the water in Charleston, South Carolina, Paige and Brandon’s destination wedding at The Island House blended timeless coastal elegance with unrestrained joy. Though they now call Texas home, the couple chose to return to the city where their love began — a fitting place to start their next chapter surrounded by the soft Southern light and the laughter of family and friends.
Planned by Perfect Peony Events, their day unfolded in hues of ivory and green, complemented by organic florals from Sweetleaf Floral and sweeping Lowcountry views. Paige, radiant in her Lela Rose gown, carried herself with effortless grace and a sense of pure delight that carried through every part of the celebration.
From their emotional vows to their electrifying dance floor, every moment reflected a couple deeply in love and fully present. The evening ended with an intimate final dance — just the two of them — before the lights dimmed and the night slipped quietly into memory.

“Be present and have fun! You are the guest of honor, not the host. If you have a good time, everyone else will too.”

How did you two meet?
We met during college at the College of Charleston — at a Halloween party, of all places! Brandon was dressed in a tiger suit, and from that moment, I knew I had to have him. We started spending nearly every day together after that night, and the rest is history.
Tell us a funny story from your wedding day!
Our dance floor was absolutely wild — in the best way! Friends were breakdancing, doing the worm, and salsa dancing. At one point, guests even asked if we’d hired professional dancers. It was pure, electric fun!
Describe a hurdle you had to overcome.
Brandon quit his job the week before our wedding, which added a lot of stress leading into the big day. We reminded ourselves to stay present and not get caught up in future worries. It was a great reminder that our love can make it through anything.

Any special ways you incorporated family?
Our ceremony and reception were full of family touches — my dad was the MC, Brandon’s uncle officiated, and our niece and nephew made quite the impression during the flower toss! I also gave my bouquet to my mom in a moment of gratitude instead of doing a bouquet toss.
What part of your wedding day was most important?
The private moments. Our last dance after everyone left was the perfect, peaceful ending. We wanted to be fully present, spend as much time together as possible, and have the time of our lives — and we did!
What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?
Brandon helps ground me — he’s my calm when things feel chaotic. He says communication is everything, and I couldn’t agree more.

What’s your favorite thing about each other?
Brandon’s goofy yet ambitious nature makes life endlessly fun, and Paige’s warmth brings people together wherever she goes. Life with her will always be an adventure.
Favorite part of planning?
I loved all of it — from checklists to tastings! It was so fun to think through each detail with our guests in mind and bring our personalities into every part of the day.

Advice for other couples:
Be present and have fun. You’re the guest of honor, not the host — and if you’re having a great time, everyone else will too!
The most honest thing about love:
It’s fluid. It changes, it grows, and it deepens when you put in the work. But it’s worth every moment.
