Well, hello there, Yosemite! Josh & Chanel began their first betrothed moments surrounded by the loveliness of nature, so it was only fitting that they should document that very season of life in some truly stunning valleys!
A little insight from photographer Amanda Callaway :
“Josh & Chanel reached out to me in August for their June 2019 wedding. I fell in love with this couple instantly. They booked their engagement in the gorgeous valleys of Yosemite.
Josh and Chanel met through a mutual friend and hit it off. A little while later Josh started planning out the proposal. He planned a trip a Tahoe this past May where his parents would fly in from Arizona to meet them. Chanel had been dying to go for hike that overlooks Emerald Bay, so Josh made it happen!
During their trip they hiked to Vista Point, where they could oversee the beautiful Bay. They sat and took in the beautiful view hand in hand and just as Chanel was about get up and leave Josh grabbed Chanel’s hand and instantly got down on one knee. Chanel saw him pull out the ring box and was overjoyed. ‘It was the perfect place’ said Chanel. They later celebrated with his parents that evening over dinner.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
Chanel: “We met at a mutual friends birthday dinner. Josh’s first impression was that I was reserved. I’m normal pretty quiet when meeting new people. I thought Josh was super sweet and charismatic. As the night carried on, we got lost in conversation and were both intrigued to know more about one another.”
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Chanel: “My favorite thing about Josh is his sense of humor. He is always making me laugh.”
Josh: “My favorite thing about Chanel is her big heart. She is always thinking of others.”
What part of your wedding day is most important to you?
Chanel: “The most important part of the wedding day for me is the ceremony and exchanging of vows. It is where you declare your love for one another and make a commitment to be there for one another through the good times and the bad. You are able to share this special moment in front of your loved ones. I feel it reminds the ones there who are married of the commitment they made and gives people who are still looking for that true love faith it is out there for them as well.”
What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another?
“The best thing we have learned from one another is that the ‘little’ things go a long way. We try to always think of one another in our daily actions. We feel our relationship is stronger because we both make a sincere effort to show one another how much we care about each other.”
