What better way to celebrate an adventurous couple’s engagement than a little trek across Oregon’s breathtakingly changing landscape? Morgan & David took their love from the stunning Redwood forests to the lovely Oregon coast and it was all gorgeously captured by Betsy Blue Photography! We cannot get enough of this sweet adventuresome couple and their delightful little escapade!
A word from Betsy Blue Photography:
“David and Morgan asked me to capture an adventure engagement session with them, to better portray their love story together…what an amazing experience! These two adore exploring hidden nature together…finding new waterfalls, dancing along secret trails through the redwood trees, exploring caverns and hill paths along the gorgeous Oregon coastline. Their love is so natural, lovely and genuine…and it was a true joy to capture! I am honored to have the joy to be following them into the beautiful waterfall-laden country of Ithaca, NY later this year, to capture their intimate natural wedding day…what a treasure it is to traverse this country telling these two’s love story!”
From Morgan & David:
How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
Morgan: “We met on the Rhythm Room dance floor. I came to watch one of my favorite bands, Igor and the Red Elvis’s, and David was out with friends. He came & bumped me on the dance floor, after many moments of him catching me checking him out. We grooved instantly. I was shocked, my friends were shocked, this was the first guy I’d danced with in over 4 months! I had one of those meant to be moments right when we introduced ourselves. I met him on father’s day and he has my dad’s name.”
What is your favorite thing about each other?
Morgan: “My favorite thing about David is the way he communicates. He’s brutally honest, clean, doesn’t brush things under the rug, and there’s always resolution and understanding.”
David: “Morgan strives to be her best. She constantly looks for ways to improve herself and those around her. She is finding herself more and more each day and helps me do the same. Morgan helps me realize how beneficial it is to keep pushing yourself to get better and helps motivate me. She also has a unique ability to kindly pass her wisdom on to others. This quality says a lot about Morgan as she wants the world to be a better place for everyone.”
What part of marriage is most important to you?
Morgan: “One of the most important things to remember about long term relationships is that you both need to continue to grow as individuals. Marriage means you’ve found yourself in someone else and that someone else cares about your heart and mind the same way they care about their own.”
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
David: “There can never be too much communication. If something is bothering you, say it. Don’t let it boil because if intentions are always good, explaining yourself can only prove that your heart is in the right place.”
