Translucent Wedding Inspiration

Translucent Wedding Inspiration

In these colder days of winter, we look around and see less and less green and growing things. But even in the absence of color, we can find beauty in the neutral colors we see around us. This inspiration shoot focused on clear elements and elements with a breezy see-through feel to create a visually appealing array of airy and translucent elements. We love it!

“The inspiration for this shoot was ‘translucence.’ We wanted to keep all the elements raw, minimal and modern in feel, with a sheer and airy feeling throughout and using items made from natural materials as much as possible. So for example, we used a lot of marble, wood, glass and dried botanicals such as lunaria, grasses and linens. Our desire was to let all the elements be bathed in light and air and even the bridal separates (translucent top and white palazzo pants) were sourced keeping this modern, sheer minimalism in mind. Our ideal bride for this shoot was an elopement bride, and the concept was for a morning elopement with an intimate celebration table set for a brunch with immediate family. The event is set on private venue, overlooking stunning Okanagan Lake on the Pacific Northwest Coast, in BC, Canada’s stunning wine country—the perfect location for a warm, breezy summer brunch elopement!”
