Today we’re showcasing the basics of honest family living with this maternity + family session at a historic farmhouse. Surrounded by farm animals and nature, this beautiful session showcased the pending arrival of their third baby!
from the photographer: The Green family was expecting their third baby, and for their maternity session location we chose a historic farmhouse that I always love to shoot at. The house is surrounded by towering trees, the prettiest garden, and goats and chickens. It is such a dreamy location, and one I always find myself wishing I could linger at even longer.
I loved capturing the spunk and energy of the oldest two children – they never stopped moving and exploring. I know that it can feel tricky to work with toddlers who want to do anything except hold still and listen, but I actually find it to be incredibly fun and just the right kind of challenge. There is nothing quite like photographs that combine beauty with a little real-life sass! Over the years, I have learned to simply watch, wait, and relax until the moment is right. Real families will always keep me inspired!
