Kaitlyn & Jake like to keep themselves busy: between work and nursing school for Kaitlyn, and Jake racing a top alcohol dragster while holding down a full-time job, finding the time to plan their wedding has been a difficult task indeed. This made their sweet urban Florida engagement session with Lisa Silva Photography all the more delightful—a beautiful sunny Floridian day spent documenting their love!

“When I met Kaitlyn and Jake, my first thought was ‘Wow these people look like models!’ My photographer heart did a very happy dance. Beautiful people shot on Fuji film at an awesome location are always the perfect trifecta. Not to mention this couple is so obviously in love that it radiates!
Our session took place on a beautiful afternoon in sunny St. Augustine, Florida. We went for a semi-casual look and I couldn’t be happier. Kaitlyn and Jake are as sweet as they are gorgeous and were completely open to my suggestions. They didn’t need much direction at all! They laughed and cuddled for my camera just perfectly and the images reflect what a loving and sweet couple that they are. I am in love with this shoot and excited for their wedding next January!”

What is your favorite part about planning your wedding?
“Our favorite part about planning our wedding has been incorporating little pieces of who we are and what we love most about each other. We really want all of our guests to see how who we are individually really intertwines in a beautiful way into who we are as a couple.”
What part of your wedding day is most important to you?
“The most important part of our wedding day is beginning our marriage on the form foundation of our faith in Christ, making a forever covenant under God between the two of us to love one another unconditionally, just as Christ loved us.”
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
“If we had one piece of advice for other couples, it would be to always put one another first. When both individuals put forth the effort to show how much they love each other, everyone wins!”
What is the most honest thing you can say about love?
“The most honest thing we can say about love is that it is a choice, not a feeling. You have to wake up every day with the intention and the choice to love your significant other, regardless of how you feel that day!”
