So much of love lives in the everyday. Amid the speckled constellations of grand gestures and landmark moments lies a sea of endless sunrises and sunsets simply spent in togetherness—but there is such magic in the in-between. There’s a quiet alchemy in the seemingly commonplace of morning coffee with your love, in the way interlaced fingers seem to fit just perfectly, in the home you find not in a place but in a person. It’s the kind of stardust that looks a lot like life, and sings the gentle tune of promise and forever. We must never lose that magic.
When Sophie of Sophie Kaye Photography set out to capture this sweet season of life for Jing & Chiyoon, their lovely Boston lifestyle engagement session quickly turned into a stunning display of enchanting existence. It was a day of simple bliss and captivating affections, the kind that lights the heavens without even trying.
From Sophie Kaye Photography:
“Jing and Chiyoon reached out to me while planning their engagement session to request something a little different – they asked instead of the traditional engagement session we start at their apartment, documenting their perfect morning. Absolutely in love with this idea, I arrived to their house to find Jing had set out the prettiest breakfast with fresh fruit, yogurt, and coffee, and I simply photographed them as they chatted and relaxed. I fell absolutely in love with the way they were so comfortable around one another, and photographed them reading, on their computers, watering Jing’s favorite plants, and spending time together.
We decided to head out into Boston for some more traditional engagement pictures, taking advantage of the beautiful weather and a nearby adorable flower shop. Jing, a true plant & flower lover, purchased a bouquet to add to the shoot. We had the perfect timing and were able to feature both Boston’s beautiful streets and alleys, as well as some spring greenery and blooming flowers in the backgrounds.”
