A calm afternoon for this sunny backyard family session that is full of laughter & life in all its realness for many during the journey through the pandemic. This session is a reminder that the calm times together is what truly matters & will be the precious memories we hold onto as time moves forward!

“This beautiful family was planning a move to our state during their pregnancy, and amidst all of the Covid madness (Blair is a physician so I can only imagine the challenges they faced). They are in the process of completely renovating a historic home in the downtown area of our state’s capitol. So we were planning a lifestyle session in their new nursery and home when baby arrived. But life had other plans and construction took longer than anticipated, so this sweet momma asked me to come and capture life in all of it’s realness while they are in between homes and juggling life in a pandemic with two little ones. I always feel like those are the times when true beauty is captured anyways, so I was so excited that she was up for me capturing this stage of life for them! And then to top it all off we were blessed with this beautiful sun-drenched afternoon, which made for the most perfect day to capture a relaxed and fun afternoon in the backyard. As I watched them play and dance around (little Griffin had such a fun and playful spirit), it almost felt like watching a movie about life during a pandemic- when things slow down and afternoons in the backyard as a family are all that matters. It is my hope that when this family looks back at these photos years from now, they will remember this stage of life for all of the “fun in the backyard as a family” type of moments.” – Talia Laird Photography
