The word “bride” strikes a vision. It carries the mind to a place filled with veiled beauty and more than one actual shade of white. Yet, the world of “bride” is changing — not because any one style or bridal choice is any less relevant than another, not because timelessness has lost meaning, but rather because the word “bride” doesn’t necessarily fit the tightest mold any longer. Bridal style is about expression, finding the precise point in bridal fashion where you feel perfectly, beautifully, and unequivocally yourself. It’s the brightest, loveliest expression of the beauty that wears it, not the other way around. Being a bride isn’t alwayswearing the perfect white gown with a cathedral-length veil. Being a bride is showing up and saying, “I do!” to your beloved.
So, when the opportunity strikes to forgo the veil, tress up your hair, don dove gray, and roam the windy crags of Gibraltar Rock, you do it. Or, at least, if you’re this stunningly free-spirited bride, you do!
A word from Hailey of Hailey Amber Photography:
“This editorial was inspired by clifftop views and the ethereal beauty of a free-spirited bride. We wanted to be sure to allow the natural environment and the soft femininity of our bride to truly complement each other, especially with surroundings as stunning as these! The bespoke, dove gray gown perfectly enhanced the wind-swept romance and gorgeous scenery of our location. Other details were kept minimalistic and simple, allowing the quiet grace of a naturally beautiful soul to shine through.”
