Wedding preparation and the weeks and months leading to marriage make for such a fine season of life. There is such tender magic in singleness yielding to togetherness which holds far more weight than joint bank accounts and shared living spaces, where two souls become one to mutual delight and benefit. It’s a transformation which mirrors its natural equivalent: winter turning to spring, spring to summer, summer to fall—a dancing exercise in metamorphosis and quiet renewal that shakes the soul with awe!
Our next feature soaks in a last few drops of summer with pops of honeyed blooms and sweet green wanderings. And, as warm temperatures wane and autumnal colors prepare to kiss the leaves, the winds pick up, there’s a shift in the air, and a new season awaits with tranquil anticipation. I, for one, am breathless with wonder!
From photographer, Bernadette Madden of Bramble and Vine:
“This styled shoot took place in Palos Verdes, CA. The location is a beautiful green meadow overlooking the the ocean. Palos Verdes had just received weeks of rain so the once coastal dry meadow was now vibrant with life. I love the wind swept hair and bohemian flora combined with a bit of elegance! Sweet Caroline Styles is the designer of the 2 piece blush wedding dress. Silver Fox Calligraphy designed the calligraphy suite with blush, plum, and gold accents. She wrote a poem from Elizabeth Browning’s ‘A Man’s Requirements’ in Gold Calligraphy on handmade paper (from Fabulous Fancy Pants). It’s absolutely lovely and I adore the romantic sentiment!”
