Romantic Aldworth Manor Wedding with European Garden Charm

Nestled in the rolling hills of New Hampshire, Andie and Matt’s wedding at Aldworth Manor felt like a romantic escape to the Italian countryside. The couple, originally from Philadelphia, chose the Tuscan-inspired estate for its timeless beauty and destination feel—infusing their day with whimsy, color, and deeply personal touches. From the wildflower-inspired bouquets and vibrant bridesmaid dresses to vintage parasols and handmade limoncello favors, every detail reflected their playful, creative spirit.

With an emotional ceremony that included a heartfelt reading from the groom’s grandmother and a surprise musical number from the bride’s father, the day was filled with laughter, meaning, and pure joy. Their advice to future couples? Focus on creating a celebration that feels like you—and don’t forget to dance all night under the stars with the people you love most.

from the photographer: “Andie and Matt’s wedding stands out for its vibrant blend of European charm and New England beauty. Though from Philadelphia, they chose Aldworth Manor in New Hampshire for its Tuscan-inspired architecture and lush surroundings, creating a destination feel outside their home state. The colorful bridesmaids’ dresses and wildflower arrangements added whimsy, while Andie’s vibrant bouquet and vintage parasols reflected their playful spirit. Personal touches, like animal-themed name card holders and a joyful reception design, made the day uniquely theirs. Their advice for couples is simple: focus on creating a meaningful experience that reflects your personality and lets you enjoy the moment.”

How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?

In the Spring of 2014, Matt and Andie crossed paths in the halls of Henderson High School. Matt was captivated and investigated how to find this girl again, so he tracked her down through mutual friends.

Before one of their first dates, a human-sized box was delivered to the front door. Andie opened the box and there he was, packed in bubble wrap, with a sign that read “Will you deliver me to Prom?”

For Matt, he knew right away that something amazing was about to start. At first, Andie simply thought she had found a super cute and funny date for the Junior prom. However, time quickly revealed that she had met her soulmate and best friend for life.

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!

Andie’s father had a big surprise up his sleeve for the reception, which Andie and Matt were totally clueless about. Andie’s dad organized a musical number with the bridal party where he had changed the lyrics to “Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl)” to include Andie’s family nickname “Brangie” (it’s a long story). He sang his heart out while telling the story of Matt and Andie’s relationship with the help of the bridesmaids and groomsman as backup singers. It was a well-kept secret, and it had Andie, Matt, and the rest of the guests absolutely cracking up!

Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?

Matt’s grandmother did a beautiful reading during our ceremony before we exchanged our vows. She read “Union” by Robert Fulghum, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the place! It was so meaningful for her to be included in the ceremony as she’s played such a crucial role in Matt’s life growing up. The end of the reading went like this:

“Look at one another and remember this moment in time. Before this moment, you have been many things to one another – acquaintance, friend, companion, lover, dancing partner, even teacher, for you have learned much from one another these past few years. Shortly, you shall say a few words that will take you across a threshold of life, and things between you will never quite be the same.

For after today, you shall say to the world –

This is my husband. This is my wife.”

What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?

Our wedding day was beyond perfect. We will cherish every moment of that day for the rest of our lives. The most impactful aspect of our day was all the beautiful souls – our beloved family and friends – who surrounded us and filled the space with such a wonderful energy. Those very special people came from far and wide to be with us on that hilltop in Harrisville, New Hampshire. We feel beyond grateful to have the best family and friends who showed up for us on our big day!

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding?

For Andie, it was selecting all the aesthetic elements and designing the event around their beautiful Italian villa-inspired venue, the Aldworth Manor. The venue was the real show-stopper, but Andie enjoyed digging into all the details of the day, from the flowers to the tablescapes to the bridesmaids’ dresses; she loved it all.

Matt was in charge of the DJ must-play and do-not-play lists, and he had a blast carefully curating the music for the evening. All that thought paid off because the dance floor was packed all night!

Also, both Andie and Matt worked together to make homemade limoncello as wedding favors for all the guests. It was such a labor of love, but the little limoncello favors turned out incredible, and we are so glad we took it on amid wedding planning!

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?

Love should feel EASY. You know you’ve met your person when you don’t have to think about being anything other than yourself. We always felt a deep sense of comfort around each other and knew we would be there for each other no matter what. Even when life becomes scary or less certain, we always know one thing will stay constant – the two of us.
