There are few better ways to celebrate your upcoming nuptials than to plan a weekend getaway to Normandy, France and invite a talented photographer to document your love! Aurelie & Thomas asked Harriette Earnshaw to accompany them to the beaches of Normandy for the absolute sweetest little beach engagement session. They played in the waves, basked in the warm sunlight of their affections, and perhaps dusted that corner of the world with a little more love than it had before!

“I am located in Normandy, France. I met Aurelie and Thomas for the first time at a little English café in my town, Caen. They traveled 2 hours to come and meet me.
They wanted me to capture their love, before their wedding, at somewhere quiet, crowdless. We decided to do their couple session at a breathtaking place called Les Falaises des Vaches Noires. The name (“The Cliffs of the Black cows” in English) is inspired by the rocks which can be seen on the beach at low tide. In the past, the sailors used to see herds of black cows which fed quietly in the seaside.
They both love the outdoors, so they wanted everything about their engagement session to reflect that. They booked a weekend adventure to Normandy countryside for their engagement shoot.
It was a perfect afternoon with this beautiful, happy couple, and I feel so lucky to have captured their love! We quickly felt like old friends, which made the entire shoot so special. During the session they spent time doing some dancing, laughing together, chatting… hands down they were my favorite couple.
I made sure their engagement photos show the true them by capturing the moments in between, their happiness and keeping it as authentic as it can be. Just simple, no other vendors, just them, me and the sea.
I want them to look back at these photos over the years and remember just how young and carefree they were.”
