Mid Century Modern Wedding Inspiration

Mid Century Modern Wedding Inspiration

Today we are sharing bright mid century modern wedding inspiration with a glamorous & vintage feel. Eclectic florals paired with the bright color scheme & carefully selected details to support the overall vision created a magnificent editorial design that is both fun & unique!

“Rakayle (Rock) Brown and Jocelyn Gant re-united in early 2017 after Rock posted a promotion for his personal training services. Despite attending the same middle and high schools, Rock and Jocelyn had never spoken to each other… ever. The gym was an opportunity for them to finally get to know one another. After spending time together training, a spark grew between them that was like no other. A year after making their relationship official, Rock proposed to Jocelyn in front of their families on Christmas Day of 2019. The couple married in Birmingham, AL on November 21, 2020 with their closest family and friends to celebrate their union. Rock and Jocelyn still work out together every day. They are still very much in love and live in Birmingham with their Shih Tzu puppy, Chance.

A group of curated vendors came together to re-imagine Jocelyn and Rock’s wedding day with this mid-century modern inspired shoot at the new Glass House venue in Skyline, Alabama. Jocelyn smoldered with glamorous vintage looks from Birch on Main and Twiggy-inspired eye makeup from Colleen Gagnon. Sunburst hair details from The Stylist Abroad and vintage curls from Hair by LaTasha brought the looks together with our theme. New Mood’s eclectic flower arrangements brought the color story to life, while PropHouse Birmingham’s stunning mid-century furniture set the stage. Mullins Special Occasions also provided linens and tableware. Salt + Paperie made fun, geometric invitations. Emily Hawkins made a delicious and artful lemon-raspberry cake to match the bright design. White Rabbit Studios captured all the light with impressive film photography. This shoot was the debut for Stellar Events, a new horizon for the company, which was reflected in the bright color scheme, unique florals, and custom-built sunburst prop and colored panels.”  – Whitney Stemple of Stellar Events
