Mid Century Modern for Today’s Bride

Mid Century Modern for Today’s Bride

There’s always something to be drawn from the old as we approach the new. This design team took inspiration from the 1960s and applied it with a modern twist. We’re quite in love with the outcome ourselves!

from the photographer: “We lovingly referred to this shoot as ‘Fine Art for the Cool Girl’, with a high-end take on a fun 60’s vibe, our team considered every detail thoughtfully when planning and executing this editorial.

From its inception with a mood board of pastel pinks, mauves and gold tones, we found ourselves drawing inspiration from the Queen of the 60’s herself, Bridget Bardot. How would she have planned her wedding day had she married in 2019? She would have worn a gown that hugged every curve, her hair swept up with body and bounce, fresh-faced and dewy in her timeless way. The morning of a wedding day is a special time full of anticipation and reflection, and we wanted to set a scene that included a nod to this special time of a wedding day, alongside bridal details and a tables cape. The use of medium format film captured a more analog look that lended to our mid-century modern take on modern beauty and trends.”
