The vision for this editorial was to create an elegant scene of the infamous Mary Poppins in bridal form & it was executed to perfection! Striving for a modern twist on a Disney classic the ethereal gown with delicate details & lace umbrella were perfect choices to create a whimsical editorial that just feels magical.
Inspired by the elegance and whimsy of Disney Mary Poppins, I had a vision for a bridal editorial that would be a modern day take on a Disney classic. I began by selecting a dress that I saw online from a dress rental in Utah. It embodied everything I was looking for. The delicate details, billowing sleeves, and flowing skirt made this dress sing Mary Poppins! I knew I had to incorporate a node to her infamous umbrella, but wanted to do this in a classic style. When I spotted this gorgeous lace parasol online, I knew it was the exact thing I needed for this aspect. Florals were something I wanted to be soft, delicate, and organic feeling. Touches of burgundy, soft peach/yellow, and wild flowers made up this beautiful bouquet by The Blossom Jar. – Corey Johnson Studios
