Jenny and Phuong’s Wedding

Jenny and Phuong’s Wedding

Jenny and Phuong’s beautiful wedding that overlooked the city of Seattle & was full of elegance as well as a romantic feel. The asymmetrical ceremony area filled with candles was such a unique way to change up the traditional ceremony look. With multiple date reschedules this couple enjoyed their day to the fullest with this stunning celebration to symbolize their love!

Jenny and Phuong had a beautiful metropolitan wedding at the King Street Ballroom in the middle of downtown Seattle. Jenny and Phuong incorporated some beautiful details such as amazing floral arrangements and a ceremony floral installation from Lilyput Floral. I adore that their bilingual wedding invitations they got from Minted which includes an English version and a Vietnamese version. Their wedding was really on surrounded by lots of love and was a momentous occasion to celebrate their union after postponing their wedding the year prior. -Huoy Chen Photography

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning.
As much planning that’s involved throughout the wedding process, you can never truly imagine doing it during a pandemic until it actually happens. We had to reschedule our wedding date 3x and not only did it impact our guests and vendors, this also had us constantly questioning if we should do something simpler or post pone altogether. Luckily, we had very understanding vendors and having a wedding to symbolize our love was important to us.

What part of your wedding day was/is most important to you?
With everything that’s happening on the wedding day, the most important part for us was being able to step away from the chaos to spend time with each other throughout the day. We really wanted to enjoy the moment and cherish our special day with each other.

What is your favorite thing about each other?
Our favorite thing is being open and honest with each other to truly understand what our strengths and weaknesses are. Finding a partner who compliments and makes you stronger together is what we love the most.

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
There are many ups and downs throughout your relationship and it’s how you work together and handle the situations that strengthens your bond together. Don’t be afraid of conflict as it’s another way to learn more about each other. Similarly, treasure the unforgettable moments in life as it’s a way to remember your love for each other.

What is the most honest thing you can say about love?
Love is not about whose right or wrong. Love is about patience and being understanding and empathetic towards each other. Being there to support each other in the next chapter of our lives together is what loves truly about.
