The Proposal
How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another?
We met at a house warming party for a mutual friend! Robert thought Jayde was a warm person, it wasn’t even her party but she was still taking care of everyone including those she didn’t know. Jayde thought Robert was shy but he was cracking jokes left and right and that’s what got her attention!
The Engagement Session

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship!
Jayde put together a “fake first look” with the best man. It was a last minute decision so trying to find a fake wedding dress big enough to fit the best man the night before the wedding was quite the challenge. But nonetheless seeing the look on Robert’s face when he excitedly turned around for the first look and seeing his best friend since birth in that white dress was priceless.
Any special ways you incorporated your family or family history into your wedding day?
Robert’s family has a “family song,” so we made sure to add it to our must play list for the dj. It was so much fun having his entire family on the dance floor . It was a great moment to share with their newest addition to their family and it’s still a moment we talk about 6 months later.
If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
Communication and patience are what we believe are the key things to a happy relationship. Sit down with one another when things get tough and talk things out. It’s never you versus them, it’s always the both of you versus the problem. If you need to step away and take a second to gather your thoughts then do that, but arguing never solves anything.
