Germany Castle Wedding

A beautiful Germany castle wedding with the ceremony taking place in front of a quaint pond with the castle as the backdrop. Sweet moments as well as fun & beautiful traditions were featured such as sawing through a log & releasing of white doves!

“When you do things with love, you will always do things well. Alissa and Sven had put more than just love into their wedding day. They planned every detail, from their colour choice right down to the matching flowers, to the industrial venue with such perfection. A marvellous blend of romance and sophistication in style. The groom wore Huge Boss while the bride had a delicate lace gown created by Elbbraut, a local dress designer from Hamburg. They said their I-do’s on the roof top terrace that had a wonderful view. It was an emotional ceremony, filled with words from the heart and a romantic dance. We couldn’t help but lose a few tears ourselves. Our favourite part, the portrait session, took place in front of the “Elbphilharmonie”, a concert hall in the HafenCity, one of the most famous buildings of Hamburg. To be honest, we were quite nervous to photograph the day in general, as Sven is a photographer himself. As his style is similar to ours, we knew where his standards were and what he would expect from us. That always pushes the bar a bit further. However we were nervous for no reason, as the session went so smoothly, filled with laughter and joy. It was such fun with those two love birds. We wished we would’ve had more time with them to be honest. Alissa’s bouquet was a photographer’s dream. Lose wild flowers that complimented her and Sven so perfectly. And Sven’s suit was style and class in one. A unique choice that was cool, yet matched the vibe of the day so well. Back at the location we got to adore the stunning table decor. From hand sewn cloth napkins to yet again a fantastic choice of flower arrangements, right through to a sweet candy bar. It was all done with such care for the detail. We were lucky and got to stay for the delicious bbq buffet too. The first dance completed this fabulous day (at least for us) and the bride and groom danced into the night with their guests. It was a breathtaking day and one of the most beautiful weddings we got to be a part of.” from the photographer

Regina and Sascha chose a privately owned little castle named “Schloss Eldingen” in a small town in northern Germany for their September wedding. From the very beginning we knew we would get along perfectly. Both were so lovely and talked about their creative vision, we knew it would be a stunning day! And so it was. Both put so much love into their big day. If it was the small gifts they carefully selected for their parents as well as bridesmaids and groomsmen; the soft lace which was wrapped around their wedding invitations and was repeated in the bouquet & table vases holding delicates spray roses, or their stunning attire that took everyone’s breath away. It was all so magical. The ceremony took place just in front of the little pond with the castle in the background. Making it a beautiful backdrop complimenting the atmosphere. After the ceremony everyone enjoyed a slice of the artistic three tier wedding cake. And after our always beloved portrait session we all got to enjoy watching the bride and groom dance as Mr. & Mrs for the first time. It was a day filled with joy and love. We are so thankful to have been a part of it. -Nicole & Steven Photography
