Georgia Spring Wedding

A stunning proclamation of love at an estate that screams Georgia in spring! This couple has a lovely story and a great community of people that are for them and the joy on their faces show it. The bright flowers and elegant scenery added to the joyful aroma of this day. We also really admired the presentation of the stationary and the rings on the blue watercolored background. Don’t miss the magnolia trees that tower over the ceremony space-a natural beauty giving so much life to their alter!      From the Couple: We met on the swim team at the University of Georgia, when Andrew was a sophomore and Lauren was a freshman. We really seemed to share the same sense of humor right from the start and that has probably been one of the most consistent things throughout our relationship. We are always able to laugh at the same things.

From the Couple: The outpouring of love and support from our family and friends. We wanted our wedding to be a big celebration, not just for us, but for all the people we love in our life, and that’s exactly what it was. One of our best friends officiated our ceremony. He did an amazing job capturing the right blend of sentimentality and humor and made it feel like the perfect reflection of our relationship. Our wedding just reiterated how many wonderful, caring people we have in our lives, and that is the most important memory we have of our wedding.

From the Bride: I loved planning an Athens, GA wedding. Athens is where we met and will always be such a special place for us. We had our Friday night welcome event right in downtown, and our favorite restaurant cater our food for the reception, and of course had plenty of local craft beer. We even had a local artist create a custom map of Athens for us that we used as our guest book. I loved getting to plan the whole weekend of events so guests could really get a taste of life in the classic city.  From the Couple: Wedding planning can be stressful and time consuming, and there are so many parts to be planned that it’s easy to get overwhelmed by all of the decisions that have to be made. We really tried to focus most of our attention and budget to things that matter to us, like good food, drink and music. This helped us focus our energy, because if it didn’t matter that much to us on a normal day then we shouldn’t be spending a ton of time and energy on it for our wedding day.photographer: Amanda Olivia Photography / venue: 255 Milledge / stylist / planner / designer: Whitewood Events / floral designer: EuroFloral / dress boutique: Beautiful Bride Boutique / cake designer: Cecilia Villaveces Cakes / makeup artist: Bombshell Creations / hair stylist: Bombshell Creations / mens formalwear: Brooks Brothers / rentals: Oconee Events / film lab: Photovision Prints additional vendors: catering – LRG Provisions / bridesmaids dresses – Jenny Yoo from Bella Bridesmaids / invitations – Minted / groomsmen attire – The Black Tux / perfume – Gather Perfume / DJ – David Osborne with Sound Insight Productions / rehearsal venue – LiveWire Athens
