Timelessness is something we champion for all of our brides. Be your style more eclectic, romantic, modern, or simplistic, there’s always a place for an air of enduring beauty. It’s what sets the classic bride apart from the flighting fancies of trend and whim, and instead engraves her moment in time itself for all to lovingly admire for lives to come!
A word from photographer Brian Smith of 3E8 Photography:
“I’ve long admired studio bridal portraiture and classical, timeless beauty associated with it. With the inspiration to capture timeless beauty and the local fall florals of Michigan, I constructed a studio space in the basement of a small lake cottage in Bear Lake Michigan — where I was staying for the summer. I knew I wanted a colorful fall bouquet and a silky dress to brilliantly reflect light and show contrast and transitions. Samantha had a timeless beauty, simplistic, no makeup, that I would associate with a past era of photography when studio bridal portraits were a staple. The images were shot on Kodak film, with the square format ones shot through my favorite camera – an old Zeiss TLR gifted to me by my grandfather. It was my first foray into film, and I forever cherish it. It renders soft and beautiful, with a dramatic vignette, and the occasional happy accident imparted onto the emulsion.”
