We’re starting to embrace the shifting seasons here at The White Wren: the perfect time for deep autumn color palettes and warm details! Today’s feature is a gorgeous collaboration of talents which brought to life a lush and elegant wedding inspiration captured by photographer Maria Palermo. With all richness of the figs & honey which inspired each detail, it speaks to the bride with a bold heart and a mind filled with all the tender trappings of delicate romance!

“Imagine walking through a farmer’s market, a sensory exploration of nature’s bounty—the organic color palette, luscious fresh fruits and flowers, plenty of herbs and greens. Taking a cue from the casual vibe of a day strolling the farmer’s market, this styled wedding shoot embodies what is being described as the new Pittsburgh: foodie-centric bon vivants hosting a wedding celebration befitting their casual yet curated lifestyles.
Think foraged, fresh, meaningful details that paint the picture of a couple truly in love—with life, with food, with one another.
Featuring curated details that emphasize the intimacy of the setting and drawing inspiration from the edible beauty figs & honey, fresh herbs and luscious fruits, this shoot is a bountiful feast for the eyes with details good enough to eat.
We chose a local Tuscan restaurant, Piccolo Forno, because the venue can accommodate a maximum of 50 guests, which fit with the goal of the shoot to show engaged couples how to meaningfully transform an intimate space. The menu of the restaurant also impacted the styling theme, weaving herbs and fresh fruits throughout the floral elements and color palette, evoking the rustic tuscan fare served at Piccolo Forno.”
