I have a love affair with flowers; they’re their own language in every stem and petal. There’s one for every emotion, each and every mood, one for “just because,” for difficult goodbyes and triumphant returns, for “I love you” and “I miss you” and happily ever after… they speak. Silently and in volumes.
Today’s inspiration celebrates this prose, and allows their words to dance among its lovely corners — an ode, if you will, to a blooming bride so very much in her element!
A word from stylist & floral designer, Yana of Ode to Joy Flowers:
“This shoot was my personal vision of everything feminine and elegant — a true reflection of my own floral style (classy, timeless, fine art, and abundant in blooms!). My image of a perfect bride is exactly what you see here: natural beauty enhanced and reflected in florals surrounding her on her big day.
Since The Creative Chateau interiors showcase the best of antique French style, I tried to keep the tablescape as in keeping with this color palette as possible, using the best of the old-world impeccable finds: finest Italian china, vintage salt cellars from England, fine crystal cut glasses made in the Czech Republic. And for the calligraphy set, I took some extra initiative and found matching sugar cubes with dried rose petals in them, for that little touch of sophistication without excess.
I absolutely loved how our photographer, Christine, managed to translate the whole impression of this shoot to our images: effortless elegance, delicate details, femininity and beauty!”
