Downtown City Engagement Session

This gorgeous couple got to shoot their engagement’s in the midst of the city. We love the fun and airy vide of this couple and the way that the photographer captured their love so well. One of our favorite settings of this shot was in the cafe through the window. It added such a unique and romantic flare to this shoot that we cannot wait for you guys to see! Happy Scrolling!

From the Photographer: In 2017, lightning struck, bringing together two people from different parts of the world – Matthew Sossamon, a North Carolina native, and Talissa Najmi, a daughter of France – a “French-American” version of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, if I may say.

From the Photographer: Talissa had just relocated to Raleigh after moving six times in the decade that sheʼd been in the United States, and Matt was continuing his career in the Carolina capital. Neither of them was looking for “the one” when they met, but thatʼs when “the one” usually appears, right? Their first date was at a quaint Parisian-style restaurant, and in true French-form, Talissa sat right next to Matt in their booth. Unused to this dining style and proximity, he was a little uncomfortable at first. But Talissaʼs charm and joy soon washed the awkwardness away, and before they knew it, hours had gone by without a lull in their conversation. They were quickly inseparable, and those closest to them immediately knew that this was no casual encounter. What a pleasant surprise to everyone who had accepted that neither of them would “settle down”.

From Talissa: Matt proposed at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. I was so taken aback, i thought it was a joke, or something. I am usually good at busting surprises and i didn’t see this coming at all. i was so shocked my first reaction was to say “no”… like 10 times before i realized i was saying no haha… my no meant yes.

From Talissa: Well COVID 19… not a lot more to say… things were smooth sailing before then hehe… We had to learn to adapt and really focus on what matters, which is getting married and starting a family together. We ended up downsizing to 50 guests. None of my family will be present because of the travel restrictions…but we’ll go there and celebrate.
