Aspen Valley Wedding Inspiration

Aspen Valley Wedding Inspiration

Today we are sharing this inspiration from a stunning editorial at Edmonton’s up & coming wedding venue, Aspen Valley wedding & events centre. Having a whimsical garden feel, this beautiful shoot had a design that conveyed an organic & romantic look, featuring a muted color palette with bright pops of color alongside stunning backdrops & captivating florals it delivered a most romantic conclusion. Perfect inspiration for any couple seeking a garden wedding inspiration!

This shoot took place at a brand new Edmonton, Alberta venue called Aspen Valley on June 21, 2021. This premiere wedding venue is set in the middle of 18 acres of a mature aspen poplar forest, with a 3000 square foot transparent tent surrounded by a grove of trees. I immediately knew it would be the perfect location to host a luxe garden editorial to celebrate its grand opening. In the design we wanted to channel organic, garden, whimsical inspired romance. Our florist, Therese Lopez Florals, said: “For the flowers I wanted to create a bright, fun yet muted romantic garden feel by using peach, pale orange, and buttercream hues. I used a variety of roses, ranunculus, and seasonal flowers like larkspur, peonies, and chamomile. Our beautiful real couple, and open clear span tent was my inspiration for the fresh and youthful garden style flowers. The open arch created the perfect backdrop to anchor this intimate ceremony space within the trees.” -Jenny Jean Photography

“When designing this editorial, our goal was to strike the balance between timeless luxury and an effortless, welcoming garden vibe. With the property’s natural beauty as our backdrop, we utilized the existing lush greenery and designed the tablescape around it. Next, through the gently-textured linen and white wood cross back chairs, we added the white base of our design both which spoke to the light and airy garden feel of the shoot. Pulling from the floral colour palette, we chose a very soft pastel yellow napkin, and complemented the look through the additions of shades of blue in the patterned salad plate and powder blue table runner. Luxurious elements completed the look through intentional place setting layers, gold metallics and timeless materials such as crystal champagne flutes and votives and a raw silk runner. The end result is one that was soft, airy and welcoming but still luxurious, timeless and memorable.” – Sandra from Sandra Bettina Events
