This beautiful water adventure is a stunning take on an intimate elopement off the coast of Long Beach, California. Incorporating earth tones within the color palette alongside delicate textures and pearls, the design was alluring yet still soft and romantic. There is nothing quite as magical as being on the water and taking your vows while cruising the ocean! Truly a unique beginning to your wedding story!
A styled shoot inspired by oceanic accents and pearlescent hues. A venue transcending land and sea with panoramic views all around. We set sail hosting an intimate nuptial off the coast of Long Beach, California’s shore.
To love and be loved, is a priceless luxury.
Planning a nuptial on a yacht allows for a play on elements. It allows for a focus on presence and intimacy all while being away from the city. Heidi Hou of The Fete Collective wanted to elevate the experience of getting married at sea. Styling with a balance of delicate and earthly textures, the long table setting was adorned with oyster shells, a mix of ceramics, selenite, ikebana placed florals, and pearls. Loosely draped fabrics gently ruched, mimicked the breaking of sea waves and continued to spill over the ends of the table. Each gauze napkin was hand embellished with pearls, each uniquely different in their own way. Glacier champagne flutes were paired with modern form wine glasses.
The bar by Value Bar Services consisted of local brews and a play on words with signature drinks named “The Pearl” and “The Black Tie” fitting to the theme. Shareable Boards created a grazing table that was a visual art piece incorporating more earthly elements. Layering textures consisting of travertine, quartz, reclaimed wood, and a combination of placed fruits, meats, and cheeses to be shared. The cake designed by Really Cute Sweets visually captivated the unbound movement of the sea. Placed on acrylic pedestals layered with satin and pearl embellished gauze allowed for the ocean background to peek through.
The wardrobe was kept both sophisticated and timeless. The groom was fashioned in a black tuxedo and bowtie by Friar Tux. The bride wore a modern form fitting gown from Mia Riley Designs finished with a single layer of soft tulle and carefully placed hand sewn lace appliqués paired with a chapel length veil. -Jasmine Marie Photography
