Alvina & Jason’s Graydon Hall Manor Wedding

Alvina & Jason’s Graydon Hall Manor wedding is a stunning fall celebration showcasing the beauty of an intimate wedding in Autumn. Sure to inspire with elegant details that are romantic & timeless, as well as a muted color palette with pops of color which paired beautifully alongside the venues historical design. An amazing intimate celebration with romance can be felt through the photos themselves!

We at Rainbow Chan Weddings & Events believe that love conquers all. Having a partner alongside you, who will weather the storm of challenges throughout life, can make lemons into lemonade, turn a frown upside down, and shine a light on the cloudiest of days. The planners and coordinators at Rainbow Chan Weddings had the privilege of bearing witness to such a love when crafting the wedding of Alvina and Jason. The lovely couple, having been together for about a year, wedded in October 2020 in the unparalleled historical Graydon Hall Manor, at 185 Graydon Hall Drive in Toronto, Ontario. Inspired by the bride and groom’s devotion to each other, the team planned and coordinated an unforgettable event – a romantic and elegant wedding. Join us as we reminisce about the timeless and beautiful wedding designs that the planners and coordinators at Rainbow Chan Weddings created for Alvina and Jason’s intimate ceremony. Originally wanting a large wedding, the couple faced a difficult choice when province-wide limits were placed on gatherings due to COVID-19. With the guidance and support of our planners and coordinators, Alvina and Jason decided to have a smaller wedding, where they could celebrate their love with 25 of their cherished friends and family members. Our team enhanced the couple’s special day by including a virtual stream of the ceremony so that those loved ones who could not attend the wedding were able to share in the festivities. The deep and emotional connection felt between all guests was palpable throughout the day and was the best reward for our planners and coordinators. – Rainbow Chan Weddings

When crafting the design of Alvina and Jason’s wedding, our planners and coordinators applied a pastel color palette throughout. This use of muted and soothing colors created a modest sophistication, while refined details, like cursive fonts on stationary, whispered of elegance and romance. Our team wanted to reflect the timeless wedding venue, Graydon Hall Manor. The historical estate, a serene and hidden paradise in the middle of the city, boasted an outdoor terrace overlooking airy formal gardens. The courtyard featured flowing fountains and luxuriant greenery, while grand staircases with chandeliers, picturesque windows, and intricately designed features provided a picture-perfect setting for Alvina and Jason’s getting ready and first look photo ops. The couple planned to hold their intimate nuptials outdoors, where nature would be accentuated by our planners’ design visions. However, on the day of the wedding, the rainy weather posed another hurdle. Our planners and coordinators at Rainbow Chan Weddings & Events were well prepared for such a problem and acted swiftly to reorganize the design of the ceremony. Instead of having a lush floral arch outside in the garden, the planners and coordinators transformed the flowers into a delicate and artistic installation on the Graydon Hall mantel. This romantic display in the beautiful manor brought the outdoors inside and served as the perfect backdrop for Alvina and Jason’s vows.

During the ceremony, Orsi from Wellington Music played the cello to welcome the guests to the event, as the bride and groom walked down the aisle, during the signing of the marriage license, and during the recessional. The veiled bride, with gorgeous hair and make-up styled by Soyu MUA, wore pearl jewelry and held a stunning bouquet of white, light pink, and light purple flowers, provided by Patchouli; these design elements were echoed in the wedding cake by Atsuko Tani, enjoyed by Alvina and Jason while sipping celebratory bubbly. After the ceremony, the newly wedded couple went for a stroll through the courtyard, clasping each other closely under an umbrella to avoid the rain. Our planners and coordinators loved the grand archways and open spaces that framed the couple so well in the pictures taken by Therese from Artiese Studio. To finish off their wedding festivities, Alvina and Jason celebrated with some of their closest friends and family at a nearby restaurant.

Alvina and Jason’s wedding was a wonderful example of how love conquers all. Despite a pandemic, despite rainy weather, this wedding day proved that romance never dies, and that love will indeed find a way! Our planners and coordinators felt privileged to be a part of it and we are so happy that the team could help create such personal and meaningful memories. The whole team at Rainbow Chan Weddings & Events hope that Alvina and Jason will look back our work for years to come and remember with fondness the joy that was felt by all that day! – Rainbow Chan Weddings
