Adventure Mountain Couples Session

Come away with us to this adventure mountain couples session with stunning views, love and laughter during the time spent with Erika and Ben. Their session had a laid back vibe surrounded by nature, and the sweet simplicity of it all created an amazing atmosphere and stunning images! A beautiful sunset session among the mountains, add a perfect couple to the mix & you feel like you’ve hit the jackpot. These two simply wanted to celebrate their love & being the outdoorsy couple they are I thought this spot was a great depiction of that adventurous spirit. How did you two meet? What were your first impressions of one another? We met on Vancouver Island at a friends dinner party. We all went out on the town after dinner to watch the band The Boom Booms. Our impression of one another was instant admiration & connection. Like bees to honey, we couldn’t seem to stay away from each other. We had finally found someone else with the same goofy sense of humor as one another and the laughs never stopped.

Tell us a funny story relating to your wedding day or relationship! As soon as we met, Ben packed his overnight bag to stay at my house & literally never left. He spent the whole summer rotating through 4 sets of clothing in that bag. We all joked about it; Ben, myself, our roomies, but honestly I was so happy to have him there & honored that that I felt like home to him right away.

Describe a hurdle you had to overcome in your relationship or during your wedding planning. We would say covid was a hurdle. If we can get through that level of domestication, we can get through anything. It’s been a swell time adventuring the living room together, but we are excited to explore other corners of the world together very soon.

What is the best thing you’ve learned from one another? We have completely different personalities & way’s of thinking, so we learn a lot of great lessons from each other every day. Ben teaches Erika a lot about humble leadership and how to solve problems, both on paper & in the world. Erika teaches Ben how to invite more self care & spontaneity into life.

What is your favorite thing about each other? My favorite thing about Ben is his sense of adventure, his relentless drive and his ridiculous sense of humor.
My favorite thing about Erika is her inherent compassionate nature and her unrelenting desire to increase the quality of the lives around her.

If you had one piece of advice for other couples, what would it be?
Approach life as a team and support each others dreams.
Also, snuggle lots & cook each other dinner.

Love risks everything & asks for nothing
