Looking for ideas for a whole wedding weekend getaway? Check out this Palm Springs inspiration for an iconic few days ranging from a bespoke wedding, to desert windmill photos and a poolside day!
from the photographer: “Featuring the intimate boutique hotel The Good House, this wedding weekend shoot is meant to serve as inspiration for holding a wedding weekend in the iconic Palm Springs area. Taking inspiration from Palm Springs golden age, the ceremony was a modern take on an intimate, retro wedding featuring pops of color in an ombre style throughout. The pinks, yellows, and white color scheme complimented the lush surroundings of The Good House. We featured an aisle with standing flowers, an ombre bouquet, and an al fresco-inspired vibrant reception table. Bowls of lemon, pink tinted glasses, glass chargers, and gold flatware rounded out the tablescape. The event concluded with a champagne pour in a pink champagne tower, and cake cutting of a custom ombre Oreo cookie-flavored cake.
Afterwards, we created a more editorial-inspired shoot near the windmills to show where couples can escape to for their portrait session on the wedding day. Featuring flowers organically growing from the getaway car and backdrop portraits, this shoot was meant to inspire couples to think outside of the box when it comes to their portraits.
The next morning meant the end of the weekend, and we wanted to show how couples and wedding guests can spend the slow morning after the wedding— by the pool. The Good House features mineral spring waters warmed up to 90 degree, making the pool the perfect way to relax and bask in the excitement of your first day as a married couple.”
