With its soft pastel palette, vintage-inspired textures, and airy floral movement, this all-film editorial captures the spirit of a slow and celebratory summer in the Midwest. Set at the beautifully restored Lilley Mansion in Michigan, the creative direction was inspired by the long-awaited arrival of summer—when locals emerge from the cold to embrace the warmth, beauty, and joy the season brings.
Designed by Rhiannon Bosse and photographed by Kelly Sweet Photography entirely on film, the shoot’s color story of lavender and butter yellow unfolded across playful linens, delicate floral arrangements, and heirloom-inspired details. Pattern play, whimsical stationery, layered china, and a buttercream cake echoed the balance of elegance and ease. It’s a reminder that sophistication doesn’t have to feel buttoned-up—it can bloom freely and joyfully like summer itself.

“A celebration of summer’s return—playful, polished, and full of floral joy.”
